Alison Wedd is a Hudson Valley based photographer, specializing in wedding, birth, and portrait photography. After graduating from Bowdoin College in 1985, Alison returned to New York City to assist the renowned photographer, Norman Parkinson and begin her career in the fashion industry. She also worked as assistant to the head photographer at Town & Country Magazine during this time. Next she moved to Paris, where she met her late husband Patrick and had her first two children. While in Paris, she worked as a photographer for Elite Models, selecting, testing and shooting model portfolios. She then worked as assistant to photographer David Seidner, shooting covers for Vogue Magazine. She also worked for Bill King, doing studio work for Elle Magazine. More recently, Alison has shot covers and editorials for many magazines in the Hudson Valley, including Our Town Magazine and Artful Mind. She also does head shots for local organizations such as the Philmont Fire Department.
